This delicately elegant pendant is Ruby-Light Tourmaline. Interestingly, the most significant historical use of pink or ruby-light tourmaline was by the imperial court during the Qing Dynasty. It was also known as "Caesar's Ruby" when a famous 52-carat gemstone given to Catherine the Great of Russia was worn for centuries by royalty under the assumption it was a ruby. It turned out to be a tourmaline!
This pendant is wrapped in sterling silver wire and accessorized with a sterling silver bead. This pendant can also be used as a charm, adding it to bracelets, anklets, lapels, or worn as an earring (check out our shackle!)
